Larp 101: The Game » Traits and Dots
Since we are not actually vampires and our characters can perform paranormal or superhuman feats, we need a way to represent the capabilities of our characters when they far exceed our own. We do this with a series of Traits. These traits can be spent to initiate a challenge—see the following section—and are shown on the character sheets as Dots which can be filled in as they as spent. For example:

A character's Attribute Traits
Traits are used to represent all sorts of capabilities your character possesses; for example, physical prowess, mental capabilities, social acumen, morality, and skills or abilities. All of these traits can be spent over the course of a game session. Most of them return to you at the start of the following session though there are a few exceptions.
There are also instances where someone may need to remove a dot from their sheet in conjunction with a trait. These cases usually represent a phenomenal effort made by a character and are few and far between.
